The Sacred City Project was engendered by the spontaneous interfaith unity that swept New York in the days and months following September 11, 2001. But our work looks to the future. We hope that you will join us in pursuing our goal of making New York a city of greater interfaith harmony and diversity. By imagining new ways of being and relating, we can create new possibilities for community.
Imagining and re-imagining are acts of hope, the belief that people can be more than they are: more compassionate, more humane, more connected to one another. The window of opportunity for us to act is still open.
